Keynsham lane closures for maintenance

Bath & North East Somerset Council is advising main road users about a series of lane closures to allow maintenance work.

A rolling programme of maintenance and cleaning is taking place until October 24, affecting the following highways:

A4 Keynsham Bypass
A4 Bath Road
A4 Bristol Road
A4174 Avon Ring Road
A37 Upper Bristol Road
A39 Bath Road

Work is also being carried out on several roundabouts, including Hicks Gate, Chelwood and Broadmead.

Grass and verge cutting, gully cleansing, litter picking, street light maintenance and road sweeping is taking place along each highway, with tree felling at Newbridge Hill and Hicks Gate to remove trees infected with Ash Dieback disease.

All work is being carried out between 9.15am and 4pm to reduce disruption. All road users will still be able to travel along the affected highways as works are being carried out under single lane closures, and no work will be done over the weekend.

Several teams from across the council are coordinating their activities to reduce disruption, but B&NES Council is advising people plan their journeys as lane closures may cause delays.

You can find more information and view street cleaning, grass cutting and gully cleansing schedules on the council’s website: https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/find-roadworks-schedules-and-planned-works
