Keynsham fire station apartment plans on show

PLANS to build flats on the site of the old fire station in Temple Street, Keynsham, will be on public display at the town’s library tomorrow evening (Thursday November 23).

The proposed development for the over-55s would comprise 21 one-bed and two-bed apartments, with commercial space on the ground floor facing Temple Street.

A new pedestrian walkway through the site would link Market Walk to the leisure centre and Riverside apartments. The scheme would include car parking and cycle spaces.

A spokesperson said: “Designs are at an early stage to allow the local community to provide the team with their valuable feedback on the initial proposals at the event tomorrow.”

The drop-in session at the library runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

A planning application is likely to be submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council in mid-January.
