THE Saltford Santa Dash raised more than £17,000 for two children’s charities.
The money – which will be shared between Keynsham & District Mencap Society and Sporting Family Change – will help to provide vital support for children and families in need across the local area.
The event, which took place on December 1, attracted a record 773 participants.
The Santa Dash team said: “Heartfelt thanks go out to the incredible volunteers who gave their time to ensure the event ran smoothly.
“From marshals lining the route to organisers working tirelessly behind the scenes, their dedication and enthusiasm were instrumental in making the day such a success.”
Local businesses also played a crucial role, lending equipment, providing sponsorship, and donating prizes, reflecting the community spirit that Saltford is so proud of.
“And, of course, a massive thank-you to every runner. Whether you sprinted, jogged, or walked, your efforts made a real difference to these charities.
“To everyone who contributed to this year’s Saltford Santa Dash, thank you for making it such a memorable day.”
The countdown has begun for this year’s event, scheduled for Sunday December 7.
