PROPOSALS have been unveiled for apartments on the site of the old fire station in Keynsham.
The development for the over-55s would comprise 21 one-bed and two-bed apartments, with commercial space on the ground floor facing Temple Street.
A new pedestrian walkway through the site would link Market Walk to the leisure centre and Riverside apartments. The scheme includes car parking and cycle spaces.
A planning application for the scheme, on behalf of Chewton Place Developments, is likely to be submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council in mid-January.
More information on the plans can be found on the Nash Partnership website. It also has a link to a comment form allowing people to give their feedback on the proposals.
Comments can also be sent by email to KeynshamFS@nashpartnership.com) or by post to Nash Partnership, 23a Sydney Buildings, Bath, BA2 6BZ.
The deadline for comments is December 8.
A drop-in session to allow the public to see the plans was held at Keynsham Library on November 23. Developers said designs were at an early stage and that the event provided valuable public feedback on the initial proposals.
