Police seek rider after man in his 90s injured in Keynsham

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man in his mid-nineties suffered serious injuries in a road accident in Keynsham.

A motorcyclist reportedly failed to stop after colliding with the victim on a zebra crossing near the Ashton Way car park between 4.30pm and 4.45pm on Monday December 1. The rider is believed to have turned left at the Rock Road roundabout.

The victim suffered what was initially considered to be a potentially life-changing ankle injury. He was later allowed to go home.

Police now want witnesses and anybody with information about the identity of the rider and the motorcycle to come forward. They would particularly like to hear from anybody with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision.

The rider was wearing dark clothing while riding a red or orange motorbike, but no further descriptions have been established at this time. Police have conducted house-to-house and CCTV enquiries and have stayed in contact with the victim while investigations continue.
