BREAKFAST and Babies, a support group for mothers with babies aged 0–6 months, is celebrating the renewal of its funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
Since launching in April 2024, the weekly group has become a valued space where new mums can connect, share experiences and receive encouragement during the early months of parenthood.
To celebrate the renewed funding, Keynsham Community Hub hosted a special event in July, inviting all the mums who have attended the group since it began.
Held every Friday at Keynsham Community Hub, Breakfast and Babies offers a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and light refreshments. The group is run entirely by local mum Natalie Condick and her mother, Sandra, who provide a listening ear, practical support and a strong sense of community for families with young babies.
Natalie said: “We started with a simple aim – to create a place where mums of newborns could feel supported and know they weren’t alone. The response has been incredible. We’ve seen friendships blossom, confidence grow, and many mums continue to meet long after they’ve moved on from the group.”
Over the past year, Breakfast and Babies has welcomed dozens of mothers from Keynsham and the surrounding area. Whether it is a baby’s first outing or a mum’s first opportunity to chat with another adult that week, the group provides a valuable source of friendship, support and connection.
One mum who attended said: “Thank you so much for creating such a warm and welcoming space for new mums and babies. Thank you for the tea, pastries and all your support. We will really miss coming each week.”
The renewed funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players to support communities across the UK, means the group can continue to run free of charge, ensuring every new parent can access support regardless of their circumstances.

Breakfast and Babies meets every Friday from 10am to 12 noon at Keynsham Community Hub, 67 Queens Road, Keynsham BS31 2NW.
