So proud of Lift Broadlands’ students GCSE success

STUDENTS and staff at Lift Broadlands, part of Lift Schools, are celebrating their GCSE and BTEC results.

The Keynsham school said students showed resilience and determination to achieve their results.

Extra support after school and during weekends and holidays had paid off, with many students achieving the grades needed to go onto sixth form, for A-Levels, BTECs and further vocational study.

The highest performers included the following:

Bella Feeley achieved three grade 9s, three 8s and two 7s. She will now study A-Levels in the sciences and geography at Hayesfield Girls’ School in Bath.

Oli Hughes achieved three grade 9s in maths and science, three 7s and three 6s and is going on to study maths and sciences at A-Level at St Brendans.

Twins Reece and Theo Nelson-Finch achieved a grade 9, six grade 8s, four grade 7s, three grade 6s and three grade 5s and will study A-Levels at St Brendans.

Sophie Young achieved two grade 8s, one 7 and five 6s and will study A-Levels at a high-performing sports college, where she can continue to develop her already impressive rugby career.

Lydia Goold achieved three grade 8s, two 7s, three 6s and a 5 and will study A-Levels at St Brendans.

Laura Stone, principal at Lift Broadlands, said: “I am so proud of the results that our Year 11 students have achieved. They have worked so hard this year and deserve their fantastic outcomes. Their resilience and determination over the last five years is a testament to themselves and their families.”
