Jingle all the way for Saltford Santa Dash

THE streets and sports field were bursting with festive colour, jingling bells and smiles for this year’s Saltford Santa Dash.

From the first warm-up stretch to the final finish-line cheer, the energy and community spirit were unforgettable.

The youngest participant was just four months old, cosy in a buggy, while the oldest Santa was aged 82 years, proving that Christmas magic never gets old.

Between them were families, friends, seasoned runners, first-timers, and even dogs dressed in their own festive costumes.

The route was lined with supporters cheering, children waving, bells jingling and cameras catching every moment.

To add to the special atmosphere, there was music from the Zest Choir, filling the air with festive singing, and The Music Man, a talented group from Keynsham & District Mencap, whose performance lit up the morning.

Their voices and enthusiasm summed up everything the Santa Dash is about – togetherness, joy and community.

This year’s event raised money for two good causes:

Keynsham and District Mencap – supporting local people with learning disabilities through activities, friendship, confidence and inclusion.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) – in memory of Jack Boulton, raising awareness and funds to help prevent sudden cardiac deaths in young people and support the families affected.

Every runner, walker, buggy, dog, donation and cheer helped make a real difference.

And the message from organisers is: See you next year for another incredible Santa Dash!
