DANIEL Money’s campaign to raise funds for Cancer Research UK is gearing up for its next event.
Keynsham Cricket Club’s third annual coffee morning in aid of the campaign will be held on Friday March 7 from 10am to 12 noon.
Daniel, a junior doctor, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in November 2022 at the age of 24. During his treatment, he has also been involved in fundraising events through his giving pages on the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) website.
The annual cricket club coffee morning last year raised £2,247 for his campaign.
Daniel said: “Since my diagnosis, I have had 35 rounds of chemo and two major operations to remove tumours in my liver and bowel. I recently restarted chemo.
“A large number of fundraising events have been organised by my family and friends since February 2023.
We are now holding events for the third year in a row. Hopefully we will get as much support for the CRUK KCC Coffee morning on Friday 7th March as we did last year.”
Daniel’s mum Sarah Stone said: “Currently the amount raised on Daniel’s page is £58,300. We hope that the coffee morning will help us get close to £60,000.”
